Errata
Mistakes that could be misleading:
Map on the back cover: On the legend, C South-central Pacific Slope
should have a red dot instead of orange-yellow. The city of Lima
is not shown. It is basically in front of the yellow box that says
“Central Sierra”.

if this is a mistake when taken the data or a result of new Km numbering
on the Panamerican since I wrote this chapter).
Page 207 Map E.5.2 , turnout at Km 761 should say at Km 773.
Page 228, Hacienda Limon is not on the map. Its located where it

Page 358, INDEX. There should be an explanation about the numbers
after the bird names. The number in parenthesis corresponds to the
number of each bird on the checklist, the numbers after that corresponds
to the page they are mentioned.
Page 367 INDEX: Mountain-Tanagers are under Mountain-Finches. There
is only one Mountain-Ficnch, the Chestnut -breasted. The rest are
Mountain-Tanagers (Black-chested, Blue-winged, Buff-breasted, etc.,
Scarlet-bellied)
